Today applications are deployed on everything from mobile devices to cloud-based clusters of thousands of servers, response times are expected to be in the range of milliseconds, and 100 percent uptime is taken for granted. The amount of data has increased to petabytes. To meet these requirements, we need reactive systems that are responsive, resilient, elastic, and message-driven. This session shows how reactive techniques can be used to build large-scale and high-performance back-end applications as well as to support responsiveness in the front end. It presents hands-on examples using RxJava, Reactor, and RxJS. Attend the session to learn how you can benefit from reactive design in your day-to-day job as well as on your next big project.
